OK, so this is beginning to really bug me and it's only getting worse. When I drive and hit a bump my rear wheels hop like crazy and i also get sent a lil side to side, one way or the other.

Now I know my rear struts are leaking/prob blown, but for some reason I think the swaying is being caused by bad rear subframe bushings.

I thought my violent hopping and swaying would go away when I bought SPL's collars but to no avail. I pretty sure the hopping is caused by my rears being blown, but why am I swaying? Same reason? Help?

Coilovers are being purchased soon...hopefully... (Stance GR+)

They are all related. Try this article, and it will help you understand. If you get GR+ Pro, hopping and swaying problem will go away.

I got hooked on suspension tunning and have been reading a lot. Trust me. Once you get coilovers, your car will behave a lot better. Just install coilovers first and go from there. I have GR+ Pro and absolutely love them!!

I too had this problem and it was aleviated tremendously when I put on a set of subframe collars and my rear swaybar back on. Depending on the size of the bump I can still feel it shimmy to the side a little but I think that's due to my car needing an alignment. I have really bad camber and caster in the rear.

Inspect old bushings before you do anything. Depends on condition, you might have to get bushings, not collars.

Well thats the thing, I thought the collars would fix the problem, but they have not. The SPL collars are on there, but I think i may be swaying because of the violent hoppping Im getting, which to my knowledge is because the car is basically riding on the spring right now and any bump creates much more of an impact on the spring causing it to contract and bounce back violently.

I may put the stock shocks on there to see if the blown struts are the reason its hopping...

What do you guys think ?

Install coilovers and RUCAs first, and you should go from there.

Go coilovers over checking subframe bushings first?

I'm sorry. I misunderstood. Yeah, jack up the rear end and remove 4 bolts and large washers. You should be able to see the bushing and see if there's any crack or completely torn.
