I searched around and didn't see much of anything.

I have S13 crossmember and my RB's oil pan is preventing me from putting the sway bar in. What has everone else done? Is there a sway bar out there that will solve this?

What you need to do is find some pieces of metal and make some spacers.

That's what I did.

I have thicker Suspension Techniques Swaybars.

Jason,

I had the same issue with my swaybar rubbing against my oil pan. I did a combination of stacking washers (2-3 per bolt) and lightly dented my oil pan. (By denting, I mean I used a paint stick to show where the bar was touching the pan, then massaged it in about 2mm around anywhere that was in contact with the bar. I spent probably 30 min with a body hammer rapping and re-checking.) It is really only affected when the front suspension is unloaded. Under load the bar is away from the pan.

I have yet to change any of the bushings or swaybar.

I could have probably used more body washers, but I didn't want to 'stack' it any higher.

I'm using the tophat mount kit and the $hitty front isolators must allow the engine to move around quite a bit under braking because it is rubbing on my sway bar. This winter, I'm making my own isolators so hopefully that in itself will clear up any light rubbing issues.

I took a piece of aluminum. (Flat)Then used a mill to cut holes for the bolts.I believe I used 2 on each side. What size they were???I have no idea, I did it a couple years back.Maybe 1/8 or 1/4 each.....Pretty much till it fit.

This was another thing that deterred me from using the Top Hat mounts. I just bought the ruckus-racing mounts last night, so I can now use my newly installed Nismo KA isolators...though I still wonder about when the mounts finally do start wearing, would they rub/hit my sway bar.

i used an A31 Nissan Cefiro rb20det front sway bar, it bolt right on to the s-chassis and it clears my rb26 oil pan with no problems. the only problem is sourcing a used one is very hard, so you will have to get it either a new whiteline from austraila, japan, europe, etc.

here is the thread with the comparison between the cefiro and 240 front sway bar.

rb20det stock rb mounts and crossmember. My sway bar rested up against my oil pan and then torque from beating on the motor broke both my sway bar links in 2 lol.Still yet to make spacers for it.

I made my own mounts and have stock motor mounts. I was thinking the washer route but the stud would prevent it from being lowered too much. I'm going to try some washer combos to see if I can get it to work.

i cut up an old GM manifold (3.4 or something lol) and made spacers out of it, i think it was like 1/4" thick, just enough so the nut would be about flush with the end of the stud. I have a whiteline sway bar and it seemed to barely rub the oilpan without the spacers

I can get my swaybar to bolt in--but the oil pan and the bar are just too friendly. Washering it up help a little I just want a better solution. I'll look at the Godspeed.
