well i know that most ppl with any rb swap are having problems with their swaybar hitting the oilpan.anyways ive got an rb20 in my car using the r32 xmember sooo this may be diffrent for each car.to put a sway bar that works on to a 240 you need to find a sway bar from a a31 ceffiro, its got the same suspention as a s13 so its pretty much a bolt on deal.i put it in my car tonight (1 hr to swap the bars) and it fits beautifly.there is like a good 1.5-2" between the pan and the swaybar and it clears the pan's hump fine.im also going to put in the a31 x member as i hear it loweres the engine a good 1" which would allow me to run a 120-130 degree bend from the tb to the battery tray for the intercooler (which i currently do not have).i'll try to get pics of it but it fits perfectly and clears eveything on my hicas car and if it works on a freeking hicas car you can bet it will work on a base model.

make custom spacers out of steel. That is what I did and it accomplishes the same thing.

where did you get the A31 Cefiro [correct spelling] anti-sway bar?

People have said that the 240sx Whiteline bar fits fine already... no need for a Cefiro bar if you're going Whiteline. However, I have yet to see it, since mine is still in the box. I will install it this weekend, tho, and hopefully confirm that it fits.

Frostedflakes, I still do not see how steel spacers could work without other mods. From what I can see under my car, I would need about 1" spacer blocks, plus a new, long stud on each radiator mount. And that would put the swaybar at quite a bit worse geometry, which is never good. Did you ever take pics of that part of your setup?

Whiteline bar for the S13 fits fine on the medium setting. Ultra-stiff setting won't fit without some hammering.

Im taking my Swaybar out prolly, its a track car and I want the extra grip up front, my car is still understeering slightly. I also think this nasty knock I have after putting in the coilovers is the swaybar hitting the oil pan.

me = '89 240sx w/RB25no swaybar / oil pan issues at allR33 crossmember - engine mount holes re-drilled 1in. towards the firewall- motor sits perfect- shifter sits exactly in center of shifter hole.(stock R33 engine mounts- modified- no hood rubbing issues)(crossmember is double sandwiched steel plate where the holes are so strength is not an issue).

 You need to add me to MSNGR! STAT! [email protected]

How is the fit?

Any hood clearance issues?

Shifter aligned?

TIA. :)

I don't have AIM or anything. you can email me at [email protected] if you like.

It fits very well I think with the stock mounts. Any lower and the oil pan would be the lowest point on the car. It could come back a little, but there's no much room at all between the head and the firewall as it is. The shifter does sit a little forward, but it's not bad. I got an OBX short shifter and I don't even notice it anymore really. And I have the Greddy manifold, so no hood clearance problems.

the one Carl used came from my clip. only thing I can suggest is Yahoo! Auctions Japan or a AU/NZ forum.

good thinking 93RPS13, maybe someone can make tubular xmembers instead of mounts now? also how did you modify the transmission mount?
