is the 3.5 sway bar thicker than the 2.5? I have the 2.5 and want a better sway bar and I was thinking of gettinga 3.5 if it's thicker..

I believe it's just the front stabilizer bar that is thicker. 24.2 mm for the 3.5SE. I'm not 100% sure on the rear. I'd personally wait for an aftermarket set that would be thicker than the OEM to begin with.

Not necessarily. Aftermarket springs/shocks will give you better handling, your wheel/tire set up will have its effect; but replacing the OEM sway bar with a thicker/stiffer one will definitely tighten things up.

call the dealer...see if the part numbers are differnt

Lowering springs / shocks / struts /bigger wheels / wider tires are going to do most of the job, much moreso than the sway bar
