Took off the RSB this morning. It seems to have accomlished what I was after. (Will post pictures later).
The "tight bouncyness" has been modified and reduced a bit, yet cornering hasn't been greatly effected. I can notice a slight increase in roll when I get on it, but I am willing to sacrifice that a bit for the reduced bounce. I would say 85% of the cornering integrity is still there.
My theory on this is that is allows (the RSB removal) the rear end to work a little more independantly, thereby reducing bounce, whereas when the two strut towers are linked together (as the sway bar does) what ever one tire reacts to (hence stuts and springs) the other does as well. My thought here is that a bump hit by the right rear is then also tied into the left rear, and the rear end has more "bounce" to the contours or the road.
Thats just my laymans opinion, but to me it makes sense. And, like they say, the proof is in the pudding. It has accomplished what I was hoping for. The next step is going to be much, much crazier....cutting the springs...please remember me fondly when I die.
