I am ordering a sway bar tomorrow, and I was going to order the Tanabe front sway bar. However, I found the Godspeed sway bar for nearly half the price, so I thought I'd do some research before ordering the Tanabe. Both are around the same thickness, so I was wondering if anyone could help me in comparing the 2 brands. Any experiences with both would be great.

Thanks!

alot of people are going to look down on godspeed for being ebay and all, but from a few people I've talked to, I heard their quality far surpasses that of your typical ebay crap. I'll be getting the Godspeed suspension kit very soon as my alignment is all F'd up and I'm a college kid short on money, so I'll let you know how it is when I get them

buy off ebay and support a company that doesn't do any r&d, they just copy **** to make money. Support companies that support you

I have just bought that ebay kit tue. I wont be putting that stuff on just yet. I have a parts pile and planning on taking a weekend to do all suspensions and 5 lug coversion. I am waiting on my calipers to get back from powder coating. Dont know when I'll install everything for my car is a daily driver and I am helping my boss drop a LS1 in his 89 piggy.

i know someone with godspeed sway bars and he likes em. its hard to compare thoguh cuz anything will be better then stock. to really compare you'd have to ask somebody thats owned/driven a car with both. i'll stick with my cusco though

I mean on a stock suspension setup, would having these bad boys installed do anything for you whatsoever? I'm very skeptical about a metal bar making you handle like a champ, no matter where it's bolted to.

i wouldnt say it makes u handle like a champ, but it does a good job killing roll and stabilizing. theyre arent supposed to take care of all your suspension needs, but theyre a component in better handling

Yeah. Still, having just got my car on the road like, yesterday, it's a huge step up in handling from my little Ford. Don't know if I need any of that stuff yet :P

you won't feel much of a difference on stock suspension as opposed to if you upgraded your shocks and springs.

my friend has them on his s13 and loves them. says he transitions better and overall, no more body roll.

i have tanabe on my s13. not as thick as GS but i love them.

personally only thing ive seen bad about godspeed is the crush bends and thats about it. friend said they were waaay lighter than stock but we dont know if they are hollow like my tanabes.

give them a shot. just remeber that spring rates and sway bars go hand in hand. dont overkill it.

Well, I found a brand new Tanabe front sway bar for $140, that I hope to be picking up today, or at least get a confirmation to pick-up today. If I don't hear back from that company by 2pm today, I'mma pick up the Godspeed for $70. I'm really hoping for the Tanabe, but we'll see.

As for my suspension, it's not stock NEmore. So far, I've upgraded to Energy bushings, Sportline springs, AGX struts, and DC Sports Strut bars. My last 2 suspension upgrades at the front sway bar and POSSIBLY the NISMO power brace, but I don't really see the power brace making a difference with all the other upgrades. What do you all think?

Yea the front power brace doesnt do much i didnt really notcie a difference. I have the tanabe one and its only 2point and nismo is 3 or something? i dont know, it shouldnt be a must buy. sway bars, bushing, and shocks/springs or coilovers are fine enough.

Picked up the Godspeed front Sway bar on Friday and installed it yesterday morning and WOW; what a difference! I was doing slaloms down the my street at 40-50 mph and not even a squeel from the tires. With all the other suspension mods, it makes a world of difference. So, Suspension DONE!!!

Up next, Black Satin Paint job & racing seats!!! Then it's on to PIPING (intake, headers, hi-flow cat, & cat-back!

you really fukk up on a sway bar. Its not exactly rocket science, and either one of those will provide better handling then stock.

i went w/ tanabe though.

Aside from the rear DC Sports strut bar, no. A lot of guys prefer stock or no sway bar in the Auto X scene, well when it comes to 240s NEway. And thus far, the stock sway, combined with the the other mods, has been doing GREAT for me! I have no complaints.
