I noticed in a thread made a little while back (cant remember which) that during some guys build, while he was working on the rear sus. that he didnt have a rear sway bar. First i thought what a dumb a$$, for buying a car that had missing parts. Well the other day i was working on my s14 and went to put rear sway bar bushings in and found my self standing there looking at...............nothing my car didnt have a rear sway bar either, needless to say i feel like a retard for my previous thought on this. Anyone know if a rear sway bar was an upgrade option from the dealer and wasnt actually stock eqiup. on every 240?

some people remove the rear sway for more grip at autocross and track days. softer rear = less over steer.

but it doesnt look like anything was there at all. No marks from bushings or outlines from brackets. even the treads look like unused. car was completely stock when i got it.

haha

that's cuz base model s14's didn't come with a rear sway bar... either that or it was an option LOL

but on s13's they were standard, regardless of trim model.

No you're right the first time Adrian, Base S14's didn't come with a rear sway bar, only SE's and LE's. If the base has one it was added by the dealer at purchase or someone put it on after the fact.
