hi guys, lookin for a little help...

i own a 93 s13 vert and i found a d-bushing just sort of hangin out on my front sway bar (passenger side) after i got underneath it to investigate a weird thumping sound...

i pulled it off (the bracket that holds it is still in place, the bushing just cracked and broke to the point of being able to slide down the bar) and i'm wanting to replace it.... is this as simple as buying a new one, unbolting the bracket and slipping it in and rebolting it up?

i've done a fair amount of work on the car, but never any suspension work... just gauging how involved this fix will be... any help is appreciated, thanks!

yup, sway bar D bushings are easy to replace. if you get a polyurethane one though, you might have to fight with it to slip onto the swaybar, other than that, what you said is basically all involved

Easy as cake. Unbolt, take of old bushing put on new bushing and bolt back up. Replace in PAIRS! Always do both and not just one. You'll need to take off both anyway because unbolting one may not give you enough clearance to drop it far enough to slip it on, So unbolt the 2 and replace in pairs. Always a good chance for an upgrade also.-Aex

Even the poly ones are easy enough hardest part is holding the swaybar in place while you bolt it up( yup its that easy)the rear one is a little harder, but not much, just can be a puzzle sometimes to get the bar clear of the rest of the suspension. its pretty cake though you should be fine
