I've heard bad things about boostfactor..there is also CTC Motorsports in Dallas Check out their website http://www.ctcmotorsprts.com or you could do what I do... I'm going to go to Afterdark tuning in Iowa... It might be a long ways away, but Daunttless is saving me 1700 dollars over going to CTC

"Holly dog sh1t....Texas?!?.... only steers and queers come from texas private cowboy, and you don't look much like a steer, so that kinda narrows it down... Do you suck d1cks?.. Are you a peter-popper?... I bet you the kind of guy who would fu*K a person in the as$ and wouldn't have the common curtacy to give him a reach around..."

lol.. i love that line.... hope you guys know what i'm talking about...

I haven't heard anyting directly...just other people saying to avoid them...Dauntless will do the install for 3929...that includes:2400 for the SR20det redtop100 for the intake400 for the exhaust100 for the downpipe129 for the fuel pump1000 for the install

All that for 100 dollars more than what you were origionally willing to pay...of course it all depends how far you are willing to drive to get what you want

honestly thats not a bad deal . . . but from here to Iowa . . . .I need someone in Texas I wouldnt mind payin a lil more as long as it was good work and closer cause at least then I could just drop the car off and have someone take me there and back Iowa is too far to ask a friend for a lift to. " Hey, bro you mind giving me a lift to Iowa?" LOL Then again I could catch a plane back and then there to pick the car up. Well I got until April to think about it

Daunt told me that if I gave him several weeks notice, he could have the car ready in 1 or 2 days... he said I could stay in the shop...I don't know if he has a cot or spare bed setup there or what... but basically all I had to pay for was gas and food....and being off for 3 days...:)

Tom, the owner, can source you one right now if you're interested.....I haven't gotten the full price of install with the upgrades I want, but the price should be decent;)

The engine is from a '94 180sx. I paid 4-5k with all my upgrades, some of which are not installed and not on the list of mods that is on the page.

Tom at LightSpeed is a great guy, and very reliable. If you want it done right in Texas, I would definately consider him in the top 3 of the state.

I have a buddy in houston that could do an engine swap pretty cheap. He swap out his motor to a chevy LT1 with 350th transmission so I think he could do about anything to a 240sx. We belong to S.T.R.O. car club. Check out the web site at http://www.southtexasracing.org .

Damn, I havent logged on for awhile and was suprised to see my post brought back to life. Ive heard of Lightspeed and was actually considering giving them a call.

I think most everyone has heard of Cartune in Cali. Its my understanding that Boostfactor is now CartuneTexas (dont know what happend) and I got an email from them not too long ago that they would do the red-top swap for 3500. Being that Im in Waco they are only about 2 hours away so Im probably going to be going with them. http://www.cartunetexas.com
