Swapping To HUD CLuster From Stock Hatch CLuster questions

So i got it all out and followed what the guy did in a other topic it didnt work so i tried pushing the button that it said to push still nothing. the rpms dont work either. also i looked at all the wiring and dont understand how a direct swap would work the HUD cluster wiring harness has more wires than the Hatch Wiring harness. Can anyone help me with this or has anyone done this swap before?

did you also swap the harness that plugs into the back of the hud cluster?
