swapping the sr, what else could be difficult?

I started swapping the sr20 into my 89 yesterday. I guess I should have expected a lot of the trouble, but little things have put me behind and I am not where I thought I'd be. I couldn't get the engine aligned in the mounts properly last night and when I woke up this morning, I found out that the passenger side mount is destroyed. This could have been expected because they were the KA mounts, but I only got on sr mount with my motorset. So I guess I've got to get new mounts. It's all part of the game though, I think the ka mounts were holding the engine in a bad position. I'm going to sit back and think a while before I continue. I am getting frustrated.chad

hella peeps have the mounts, nismo and what not. when i took out my ka, the lower half of the mount was still on the frame and the other half on the motor, but the sr ones i got were good. and i though my swap would take me maybe 20 hrs at most, triple that. have fun

Courtesy Nissan has the nismo mounts for like 220. That is the cheapest around that i have heard of. I would recomend them.

dont get too frustrated (my motor only came with half of one mount :pface ), there are lots of good mounts out there:

OEM Ka replacement - ok - cheapestNismo SR mounts - good (stock style but harder rubber)Kazama SR mounts - best - most expensive
