I know this must have been answred about 100 times, but it seems that it is not there when I search. I have a 90 240sx and am putting a SR20 in it. I have gooten the DOHC tach, but I was wondering if I could just swap out the tach gauge itself instead of the whole cluster. I would like to keep my odometer the same. If there is any instruction on how to do this I would highly appreciate it. Also is there anyone in hampton roads VA that has knowledge of doing this swap and would like to lend a hand also.

Yes. You can just swap the tach with either the DOHC or the JDM one. Drop the steering column by loosening to within a few threads the 4 nuts holding it up (under the plastic cover beneath the steering wheel.) Pop off the plastic trim piece around the gauge cluster and remove the screws holding it in place. Unclip the 3 plugs in the back of the cluster and remove it from the car. Take off the clear plastic cover by using a screwdriver and remove the 3 screws holding the tach in from the back. Install is opposite of reverse.
