you can use your ka lower harness with the sr transmission. I believe you have to swap the speed sensor if you want it to read in mph instead of kilometers. All the other plugs on the transmission are the same.

now what about the block and everything, i only need to swap the speed sensor on the transmission? nothing else, and on the block what about the starter, alternator, knock sensor etc, is everything just a direct swap, I'm so confused about the lower harness its ridiculous

Kae harness is fine on the sr trans. All you have to do is put the ka speed sensor into the sr trans.

Solder the wires together for the speed sensor (a black and a green wire) and the reverse lights onto the reverse sensor. That's all you need.

For the starter I had to cut the small wire off the ka harness that goes to the ka starter because it is shaped a little different then the the plug on the SR harness. So I just swapped the little starter plugs from the SR harness onto the Ka harness so it would match to the sr starter

I think the altenator plug has to be swapped too?, but I forget so correct me if I'm wrong, but if it does all the wire colors match up anyway. It's very easySorry if that was hard to understand lol

The alternator plug shouldn't have to be swapped.

Basically the colors.

I know I made a somewhat detailed write up about this awhile back on here. Search harder lol

What answers are confusing you? If it really confuses you alot just go to your car, mock the harness and see which plugs you need altered.

btw, you don't HAVE to swap the speed sensors mechanism inside the transmission, its been said that they have the same amount of gears (US and Japanese) also the same exact ratios.

what does it matter if it reads in kilometers on the speedometer it reads mph and km/h. So if it reads in km/h it would translate that mph it would be correct, you do need a rpm tach from a 91-94 thay had a real good right up on swapping a s13 to s13 (later issue s14 to s14)in a magazine called project car same people that make supers street

so 100 kmh(inner #'s) would be around 63 mph(outer #'s). I left mine in and it reads fine did a check with a friend right beside me
