Swapping Hatch Cluster To HUD Cluster Questions

So i got it all out and followed what the guy did in a other topic it didnt work so i tried pushing the button that it said to push still nothing. the rpms dont work either. also i looked at all the wiring and dont understand how a direct swap would work the HUD cluster wiring harness has more wires than the Hatch Wiring harness. Can anyone help me with this or has anyone done this swap before?

You'll need the sub harness from the HUD from where it plugs into the back of the guages to a connector further in.

i have that. plugged in and all.

you may have bought a bad cluster. i think this is what brought the term, "cluster f uck" about.

also, you need to get the cluster for the correct type of motor you have, sohc/dohc are not interchangeable as far as the tach goes.

Like i said both are from 90's which both would be single cam's but i have SR so damn that sucks that it broke but i will follow that repair thing then. FTL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
