Swapping gauges, don't want to lose original mileage, please HELP!!!

Ok my gauges were all messed up when I put indiglo gauges on them so I bought a new gauge cluster. Everything is cool except I want it to say 132,000 miles like my car has instead of 83,000 like the new gagues have on them. Can I just switch out the odometer or can I roll it forward somehow. Please help.Josh

After a long night of searching, I found the answer. If a mod doesn't mind deleting this I would appreciate it. ThanksJosh

Yes, by all means keep your original odometer.

The odometer circuit is separate from the speedo and tach circuits. All you need to do is swap out your speedo and tach (if those are the things that stopped working.) Swapping those parts are very straightforward. Removing your cluster might be a PITA if it's your first time.

Oh and also verify that your tach is the DOHC version.

I have a 95 se and the water temp. stopped working plus I didn't want the indiglo gauges anymore. So I bought a new 95 se gague set and put it in. I just want the mileage to read the same. Josh

are you sure its the gauge in the cabin and not the connector under the hood?

I will also need to do the change of mileage on mine, Im going from analog to HUD so I dont have the option of switching gauges, can you email about the mod you are refering to ???........
