So I got caught in a flash flood and my engine came to a grinding halt. After having it looked at by a couple garages, both saying I need a new motor, I’ve decided to take it on myself. My uncle has a decent garage with a nice rolling hoist. Couple questions before I dive into this project.
Does the car actually have to get lifted off of the motor or will it come out from the top?
Mine is a 2010. Are Ther certain years only, that will work?
Do I need to worry about the brain?
Where is a good place to buy a reasonably priced used motor?

Changing the engine is one thing. But I'd be seriously worried about the wiring and circuit boards throughout the car.
