Has anyone attempted to swap out the top and lower portion of the door panels. More to the point, can it be done? I have the popular dard brown and tan combination, and the brown interior color is...how should I say this...REPUGNANT!!! I'd like to change the lower portion to black and still maintain the upper tan color. Is this possible?

Looks like it is, but the hard part would be getting it to fit tight the way it did before doing the swap. You don't want to end up having a door panel that LOOKS diy custom and is coming apart. I'd hit Pick n' Pull for just any old panels from a Q and do an experiment on those before committing.

The upper part of the door panel can be seperated from the main part of the door panel. youll see little metal tabs holding it on.....
