I currently have wiring issues with my 92 240sx coupe.

The previous owner had manually wired up the brake lights and wiper system and there are burned wires under the dash.

Well, the car ran fine with its original KA in it along with a non functioning automatic transmission.

I decided to take out my sr20det and 5speed transmission out of my 92 red hatchback and put it in the grey coupe. I installed the clutch and brake pedals and after all is said and done the car wont start. I've had a couple of people take a look at the wiring issue and have not been able to figure it out. So i'm tired of messing with it and am just thinking about taking the chassis wiring harness from the red hatch and replacing the questionable harness in the grey coupe.

What i would like to know is would anyone not recommend to do this? Is it harder than i think it is going to be and more involved?

I imagine the harness is mostly one big piece starting from the fuse boxes in the engine bay to the fuse box in the driver side kickpanel and dash , to even the rear tail lights?

Please let me know if this is as easy as it seems or if i should just look for another shell.

Thanks

Getting all the stuff under the dash can be a real chore. The SMJ area gets hairy real fast. Imagine a chicks shaven legs. Yeah like that.

No start on an SR eh? I'm going to take a stab at it with a grounding issue. Almost always seems to be the case.
