Is it too big of a hassle? Im having trouble tracking down a good 5spd s13 right now. Im thinking of just getting an auto since it would be getting a new motor and transmission anyway I might as well. The only problem I see is with getting the clutch pedal in and such, Im worried it might not look clean and be more expensive. So what do you guys think...?

Do you plan on doing the SR swap? If so, then it shouldn't be a big deal as you can always switch to MT if you choose to get a clip. As you'll have all the parts ready for you in the donor car anyway, it shouldnt be a big deal.

In the event you chose to stick with the KA, it's really up to you in terms of what you want to do with the car. I've seen some pretty quick automatics, although most are standard. It's really a matter of preference for you in terms of the transmission. If you want a mt, go with a mt and wait it out. If you aren't so particular, jump on something that you know you can live with, without regret.

I found a non-running fastback for $850. Since Id swap the engine anyway seems like a great deal to me:)
