i have a problem with the KA24e motor, it sounds like the rod is broken and hitting the wall do you think i can just swap out blocks with same kind or whole ka24e motor

Does the motor run? If it does then you deffinately didn't break a rod. But if you did throw a rod then, yes you will have to replace the motor. I say that you would have to swap out the head and block and such because when you throw a rod, the piston comes out and damages your whole head and everything.

it turns on tho but it doesnt stay at idle and it makes a really f*cked up noise. im currently taking apart the block to see if it is broken but do think i should replace the block if it is or the whole motor

you may get away with just a short block. this means reusing the head. you will definitely need to do something with the whole bottom end(including reciprocating assembly).

If its making like a really loud grinding or hard knocking noise when you try to start it, then you definately did throw a rod. Also, I doubt that you will have to only replace the block. The head usually get pretty ****ed up when you throw a rod. But take it apart and post some pics of the damage.

ok i will thanks im almost done taking it apart haha i took a look at the header and it looks ok... i got a another ka24e motor ready to swap it in just in case cuz i thought i was just gonna swap the block, but oh well just in case
