Im going to be swapping a rebuilt 93 KADE with a 3-angle and fully ported into my 96 s14. I was wondering if anyone new anything about how the 93 is OBD-1 and the 96+ are all OBD-2? Is this true and is this going to be of any problem swapping it into my car, or smogging it later? are the sensors different, or the harness? any info on this would be great, i already bought and have the engine, my old one with 130,000 miles is destroyed, and it was stock with a top end rebuild at 110000 miles.thanks-bryan

you have to use the intake manifold and exhuast manifold from your s14, along with as many electronic things as possible.i swapped in a 96 kade into my 91 cuz my engine blew up, the manifolds had to be swapped, so only the 96 block/head were used.

why did you have to do that, and the new engine has the pace setter header on it, so i want that for sure.

my engine came with an injen intake with the MAF and all but i had to let go of that too. im not sure if you can use that header you'll have to try it yourself, but i dont beleive the fuel system matches up with the intake manifold, and the sensors or somethign for the exhuast side. mind you they all bolt up fine but its the other stuff that gets in the way. althou i dont know the fine details

hmmm...well this engine is goin in this week sometime, so i need to figure this out, its my buddies dads shop, they have built all kinds of crazy shlt, so hopefully when i explain the problemn maybe they just have to swap the intake maifold and not the header, but if i have to swap it all, whateber, at least ill have my car back. the engine is nice and it only cost me 900 for the engine and transmission
