swapped auto to manual how to hook up reverse lights?

i bought this car with a auto to manual swap already done its a 1990 240 and i want to know how to make the reverse lights work with the shifter any ideas?

easy way would be to mount a push button style switch inside where the shifter is under the plastic, hook it up same way the auto was.
