I have a 96 nissan pickup ka24e automatic with 329,xxx miles yeah it's about to blow haha. Any ways a while back I got the idea to swap the intake from a 240sx on to my pickup given that the truck has a different design. I did some crappy hw on the swap and went for it. Any ways 3 months later and it finally started up again sorta.
this is what i did
removed the old intake, and head traded it for the 240sx one i got from the junk yard (rebuilt it)timing chain wouldn't fit over the cam sprocketremoved the timing cover fixed that problem reinstalled it. installed the 240 intake noticed the TPS were different damn looked at the wiring diagrams and guess wired ittried to start it up cranked but didn't start, then last night i bought the rotor, cap and new wiresdidn't start decided to what the hell reverse the spark plug wires started for a bit then shut off.I moved the distributor to the farthest right and it crank up and started sorta
now it idles about 800 rpm, shakes rpms lower and rise
in park it idles rough and feels like it's gonna shut offwhen i press the accelerator it climbs to just under 2k rpm and stays revin movin up and down and I depress it more stays the same, until a point and then it climbs revs pretty easy to 6k rpm
in drive it shutters and when i depress the pedal it shuts off, oh yeah and it doesn't have any vacuum lines hooked up except for the ones that I found on another nico post on how to remove the vacuum lines to just three (zerothread/274166) could the sensors be the problem or the distributor being off timing oh man I'm lost but if in the end it works I can be the only 17yr. to ever do this
yes i'm a noob and just like all of them I need helpany will be greatly appreciated... oh yeah daily driver hahahahah I'm an idiot but one day man one daydon't kill my dreams ka for life
don't smack me too cus my dad already did this
