I want to trade with someone my trunk lid. Can I take the lock off of the trunk lid?

Do you mean the place where you stick your key and turn (tumbler)? That is not on the lid. The locking assembly is indepenting of the lid, all the lid has is a little connection point to hook into the lock mechanics.

i think your talking about s13's. sorry i wasnt specific enough the first time, I am refering to s14 trunk lids....

I have a 98' white trunk while I plan on trading it for a 95' one. I am just wondering if the contrast will be very noticable when I put the 95' trunk lid on my car without repainting it to match my paint? Being that the 95' car is old and paint fades. Also, back to the question about the lock, can I remove it off of the trunk lid? Anyone know?
