i have a 1991 d21 hardbody and im planning on swaping out my ka24e for a ka24de. my friend has a 1995 240sx and i was wondering if it would bolt up to my mounts, i think the 1995 240sx is s14 so if i try to bolt it up would it fall right into place? and i plan on doing the transmission as well.

Mounts are the same. transmission's might have different shifter locations, but don't take my word for it I haven't seen them side by side. I have also read that there are sensors in different locations on the transmission from the 240sx.

There was a write up for this exact question, but I might have to find it later.

Please elaborate, because there are 700hp ka24et's, and GT3 NA 300hp ka24e's.

I know ka24de's have more stock head flow, and solid lifters stock, but the rotating asseblies are the same, other than different compression ratios. Worked over ka24e heads can flow as much as a stock DE head.

There is no reason to shy away from a KA24E. I would like to take one, put solid rockers, and nice forged rods and pistons in it, boost it, and make sh*tloads of power with it.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not downing the DE, but there is plenty of potential in an E.
