say i bought an 89 240sx hatch with a shot ka24 in it.. it came with cruise control (which i adore) and i wanted to keep that CC in there if i swapped in a ca18. would it work? how hard/prices am i looking at?

you should be able to just give the new cruise modual a vacume source, make sure it's still tied into the speed sensor, and then hook it to the bracket on the throttelbody. If your CA didn't have cruise originally you can always hook up the KA throttle body (which is an upgrade anyhow) and run it that way.

My car had some JC Whitney aftermarket cruise control installed on it when I bought it and I left that intact when I installed the motor and it all worked just fine. So if worse comes to worse you could always go that route.
