I was wandering if I swapped a T28 turbo to replace my T25 on my redtop if I would have to upgrade the computer or fuel system rigt away or not. I am just wanting to get a lil more power and save some money before I do a real big turbo and upgrade the comp and fuel system and all that. I have about every other Bolt on upgrade you can get before changing the comp and fuel.

So can you just slap a T28 from a blacktop onto a redtop without modifying anything else. Would it hurt anything ? Anyone done this?

Thanks,Brian

Sure you can put the new turbo on. You will probably want to get braided turbo lines (oil and coolant) and you will have to either get the Kazama clocking plates or the S14 inlet and outlet pipes because the new turbo point them a little different.

The big problem with all that is why? If your T25 is going out that is one thing, but while the T28 will make more power you won't be able to take advantage of that because your fuel system is maxed out. Basically, the t25, injectors, and MAF all run out about the same time so just go for your permenant turbo upgrade.

Tru man, thats what I was thinkin, I just didnt know if I could squeeze 300 hp with just slappin on the t28. I have my T25 maxed out like ya said at 250 and 14 boost, wasnt to nice to it, I need alot of bigger things to be happy! Its just I am on a real tight budget right now, and I cant drive my car till I get this fixed. Cops gave me an escort home yesterday cause my car was smokin so much and told me not to drive it till its fixed lol!!!

Thanks for your help in makin me realize, why waste my time, Ill just go BIG!!!!! Brian

you could get the 28 but it wont do too much damage if you dont get it tuned properly.Tuning is a major way to gain power.
