Hey guys. I'm gonna start ordering parts for my RB25 swap pretty soon, and wanted to know if I have missed anything that should be on my list.

Motorset (obviously)McKinney MountsOEM Water PumpMcKinney DownpipeFMICMcKinney Drive ShaftWalbro 255lphElectric Fans (?)Greddy timing beltGreddy intake manifoldNismo Adjustable FPR

I was thinking about maybe upgrading the radiator. Any recommendations? And what electric fans should I run?

save yourself 400$ and have a driveshaft made locally.

Ok, thanks. Where do I get the proper yolk if I only get a motorset though? And do I need a Q45 throttle body and a tune if I get the GReddy intake mani?

Get an adapter plate machined to use the stock throttle body. The Q is far to large for the stock turbo, it runs doggy with the Q tb. Once you have enough airflow that is worth about eh... 350 hp, thats when the stock throttle body starts restricting airflow, at about 350hp is the time you should upgrade to the Q throttle body.

Yolk is z32 or Q45. Put your motor in and then take your measurement for the drive shaft. Both ends of the drive shaft are off the shelf parts at any drive shaft shop. my measurement was 43 1/2'' inches but I made my own mounts so your measurement would be different if you go Mckinney. My drive shaft was 250$ (completely brand new no used parts)

BTW--ALL KOYOS leak at the radiator cap buy a griffin or other reputable brand.

driveshaftshop also makes a nice 1 piece driveshafts for about $300.

Get the downpipe made locally too.

I used ebay 12inch electric fans with a pepboys controller and stock radiator. I spent $83 total for my fan/controller setup. It is more then adaquate for my RB20, but your 25 may require more cooling.

I could probably save enough cash with all of that to go ahead and get an AEM stand alone as part of the swap. Thanks for all of the tips guys! When I go into the driveshaft shop, what do I call the different ends that I need on the driveshaft? "Hi, I need a driveshaft that is X long, with a Y at one end and a Z on the other"?

Do you also need to replace the Oil Pump? BTW Fatty, is your motor a series 1 or series 2 RB25?

something small that is usually in bad condition. Tensioner and Idler pulley with new timing belt. New clutch since it's out of the car and easier to do. XTD Clutch off ebay works fine. Something to think about as well. Maybe new head gasket if you want to make sure if everything is clear inside of the motor.

l0nestar - I'm not sure which Series my motor is. It won't be here for another week or so.

KUILLIN_DRIFTER - I'll definitely get a clutch. I forgot about that. Guess I might as well replace the tensioner and idler pulley if I'm doing the timing belt. As far as the head gasket goes, I've never pulled off a head on a car, so I'm a bit nervous about doing so. But if I find somebody to help me out, I'll do the head gasket for sure. By the way, is there any way I could check out your car some time? I live in the I-10 and 1604 area, north of town.
