Swap S14 manual transmission into S13?

I just put in a highly modified naturally aspirated 1996 KA24DE engine into my 1991 S13 (manual, no abs). I also bought the S14 manual transmission (with 80k) miles to put into my S13...

Problem is, the shop says that the driveshaft on my S13 won't mate up with the S14 transmission correctly, and I bought a 96 driveshaft, and it seems to be too long also!

What kind of driveshaft/differential combinations will work with an S14 transmission in an S13 chassis?

Can I use my regular S13 LSD for now with another driveshaft, or should I just buy a VLSD with a different driveshaft?
