You just told off the owner of AfterDark Tuning. One of the most knowledgeable and willing-to-help people on this board.

i was wondering what am i going to run in to that i will need to buy

Your an absolute liar if you say you searched for anything. instead of asking "what do i need to swap" go to http://www.srswap.com and read the FAQ.

am also going to get exidy racing cluch or should i stay with their street racing cluch that i aready put in it

If you had done any reading, You would know that KA and SR clutches are not interchangeable... in this same forum there is a discussion of SPEC vs. Exidy clutches. Read It.

also who makes the best intercooler i am thinking of the hks front mount

We had a lengthy intercooler discussion last week, several threads. Search for it.. oh wait, you said you did.. So you found that the general consensis was that the Greddy Rspl was excellent

ya with the cluches all you have to do is buy a flywheel of a ka24de truck motor at the junk yard and put it on your 240 and guess what they are now itercangable and you know what i was the first to do it in Georgia so i would not know about the cluch proble aready what do you think about that

what is with the "I'm too good to use punctuation, so everybody has to reread my post a half-dozen times to understand me" attitude? It'll make it so much easier on everyone else if all the newbies would actually take to heart those suggestions when they register, maybe then we'll be a little more receptive. On a side note, before I even made my first post here, I went through the entire site to find out everything I could as to not sound totally ignorant. I found http://www.srswap.com , one of the best FAQ area and some links to some stock parts...If I did it, anyone can.

I guess it all depends on how much h/p you're wanting to produce---250 or 450? If it's the first then it'll be unnecesary, if it's the latter then I would definitely consider one...

Hey mat240, Always take some time when you read the faqs. I still find myself going back and looking sometimes even 2 or 3 months later. All of its pretty good stuff, especially srswap.com.

Thanks Jesse. In regards to the oil cooler, unless you plan on doing a lot of endurance runs, you very doubtfully need an oil cooler. Oil has a specific operating temperature, it doesn't like to be too cold or too hot. If you put an oil cooler on and all you're doing is quarter mile runs and then stopping, you probably don't need an oil cooler, and all you'll be doing is hurting engine performance because your oil will never get into its proper operating range. People usually only add oil coolers for specific operations, like road rallies or what not, or if their car produces an extreme amount of heat to the point where cooling is necessary. The best way is to check the proper operating temp for your viscousity and then put in an oil temp gauge if you are concerned. Watch your oil temp, if you're in your operating range you don't need an oil cooler, if you're on the low end of your operating range, you definitely don't need one. If you are over your operating range then investing in a properly sized oil cooler wouldn't be a bad idea. Oh, I also couldn't read your first post, I only caught a few things and I had noticed that they had been discussed before. Enjoy your day.

When is the "grand opening." I was hoping to see some more pics of your work. Would you still do a front end conversion if the car has some front end damage? I'm considering buying a wrecked 240 with no motor. I'm looking forward to doing business with you in the future. Late.

1. Shop isnt officially open yet, so timetable not really available as of yet.

2. Most likely the first 2 maybe even 3 shipments will be sold already, he has a lot of pre orders i believe.

3. Shipping usually cost between 200-300 dollars.

4. Again, i know it says early october, but he has been really sick, so that has been pushed back a little...id say best bet is to email him, as he does check his emails often.
