Here is my proposed swap list, I think I covered most everything. I'm gonna due all teh maint while teh motor is still out. Just want to make sure I have a solid platform to start from. Most everything else is just to add a little more performance and maybe help the stance adn ride a litlle bit. I cant stand a 4x4 looking ride. You may be looking at my parts list and thinking that I'm a cheap a$$, but I'm trying to stay under $3500 with everything. Speaking of cheap, I will be getting my motor set from Jhot. They are sponors on the forum, and they have some of the lowest prices I've seen. They are also in my hometown so I can save money on shipping, woot!! I will be able to save on labor since I'll be doing the work myself. Yall wish me luck, this is my first swap.

Sway Bars Megan Tension Rods Ebay Exhaust

Well, now I have to play the waiting game dammit. I finished pulling my motor today to prepare for my swap, come on Feb. (hopefully be gettin my swap then)

I dont have the best patience which makes a project car hard for me. I tend to lose interest after awhile, especially if funds start to run low. That explains why I went ahead and pulled my motor already. I just want to wrench on that car all time. So I have been taking parts off here and there, just a little at a time. Gotta keep after it, ya know!!

Let me know what yall think or if I missed something stupid and obvious!!

From Augusta eh? I live over here in Aiken, so if you need any help just give me a holler. Since you're getting your motor from JHOT, why not grab a R32 crossmember? They usually have them in, and it'll save you some moeny instead of having to use a mount kit.

drop the mounts, boost controler, and stg 1 clutch in favour of front main seal and spec stage 3 clutch.also if you want some one to do the wiring i do it rather cheaply!ask rb240det he's a good friend of mine and im sure he can provide pointers.

Word.Carl did a very quality job with my wiring...most definitely recommend having him do your harness. I'd have to second getting a beefier clutch, I had a "stage 1" clutch on mine but as soon as I started putting down more power, it wasn't quite up to snuff. Clutch slippage FTL.

iI heard you have to cut the hood support in order to clear the motor, I was trying to stay away from that.

Hey I dont think we have met, I just got into 240's. I think we may have a mutual friend. Do you know a guy named Dustin Thomas? He used to work with me, and he got me into the 240 scene.

I thinnk I have seen your coupe around town. Is it white? If so I saw you on Flowing Wells the other day going towards Honda. If that's you I'm stoked, cause your ride has a sweet exhaust note. I have been wanting to here another RB 240 besides Dustin's.

PM me sometime and we can get up and you can check out my new ride.

my rb20 has an r32 x memeber and it fits under the hood without cutting. but i have a different intake manifold and the crossover pipe into the tb is usually the highest point on the motor. so theres a partial answer for you.

Dustin with the R32 front end? Did you ever stop by when we were installing the motor, I may have met you. But as far as using the X-member, I know a few ppl actually shimmed their hoods to clear it. That way you can avoid cutting anything. But to each his own I suppose.

Im a little bit green to the RB swap, kinda switched intrests, but RB was the first swap i fell in love with. Why use the crossmember? Ihave an old issue of SCC and they go over using the mounts and using the x-member, and the x-member is cheaper but they said you run into so many little annoying issues.

I have no idea where Flowing Wells is, so I presume you're talking to J.J. Plus I own a burgundy S14, not a white coupe.
