swap or not?

i was reading S13GUY's post about rice quotes, and came across a few quotes their that i laughed my *** off. Though i came across a certain quote (i think) that i would like an answer to, that does interest me. Hitting 12's with a stock 240 engine. (well ofcourse with mods, turbo, etc., hell, even NOS, just NOT sR swap) . Or is that engine swap necessary to hit low 12's, possibly high 11's?

theres guys hittin 10s on a ka, its your choice but when you blow up ur nice lil japanese junkyard motor have fun gettin another while ill just go to the local junkyard an pull one for less than 100 bucks.
