Swap Navi unit from Fuga 450GT with Infiniti M45

Hi guys, I am looking to swap the Navi control Unit in the glove box and the control panel buttons with that of a infiniti m45 of the same year so my display is in english and the buttons are to.

I cant find any wiring diagrams for the fuga 2006 but found ones for the m45 on here but the navi units are different there is 3 extra sockets on the back of the unit 2 of which are occupied with plugs one i have worked out is for the ETC electronic toll collection module to the right of the drivers side and the other one i am unsure.

does anyone know if swapping these will work i dont care if the buttons are reversed i just want it to be in english.

That's a tough one...not sure I've seen anyone do this swap before. I know of people who've gone non-navi to navi...but not from JDM to USM.

Not too sure if this will do what you want, I thought the menus etc were controlled separately from the Navi unit, but again unsure of this
I had heard that there was a conversion available, and somewhere on this forum there is reference to it, from what I understand it involved sending your unit
to someone in Russia
I dont think that changing the unit will give a NZ gps as I dont think there is a compatible map available

Thanks guys im not to worried about the maps side of things just want to be able read all the menus in english. thanks guys will update post if i decide to give it a crack.

Hi mate, any more info on this? I just purchased my m45 Fuga here in New Zealand and cant understand a bloody thing, I am trying to find info on swapping all the center console buttons to English and display. Cheers

Had the same problem mate, but figured it all out with the use of Google translate app on a smart phone, can get it for either iphone or android. Basically you tell it which language, Japanese to English, and the app scans the text and gives you a translation. Pays to do it at home where you have wifi going, that way no data cost and faster. Managed to get everything going including phone bluetooth

Am not sure bout that one mate....I would be cautious about spending that sort of money, as I think all you might gain is the centre control panel working...A lot of the fugas have more options installed than the infinities and you mite risk screwing up the electronics
