i just swapped a s14 sr into my 96 s14 and here are the problems i'm having.
ok, i did all the wireing on the f4 my self which wasnt too bad but i did have several extra wires, as i should. but the problem i'm having is after i got everything hooked up i'm not getting spark. i'm using a factory sr ignighter that was sent with my motor so i there shouldnt be any problem with that. how do i test the ignighter and the cas, how do i time the cas since there isnt any spark plug wires? and there are two cut wires sticking out right before the ignighter, are these for the boost sensor and do i need to put them togather or leave them appart?
there are three wires coming out right before the maf plug, i think one is a powersteering pump pressure signal, ones for the ac compressor and the other i dont know about but i need someone to confirm this too.
i put my finger on one of the injectors and had a friend crank it over and i couldnt feel it click, but when we cranked it you could smell the raw gas so i think they are fireing. i'm not getting any codes besides 55 so the ecu is in working order and has no detectable problems.....
i'll post up some pictures when i get home but if anyone can help me out that would be awesome, i think its the cas or ignighter but any other problems that would result in what i'm dealing with would be nice to know about...thanks a bunch in advance
