So here’s my question. I was able to buy a 96 TT front clip including motor, trans, and all accompanying pieces to do the TT swap. Price was great, so I couldn’t pass it up. My issue is whether to use the 96 TT motor and tranny all together, ( I know there’s no VTC on a 96’), or just turbo the NA, which is in great shape....hmmmm.... thoughts?

You should've held out for an OBD1 engine/clip. Turboing an NA properly will cost 3x what swapping a TT would. Since you're already in this boat I'd say use what you have and find a good tuner to write you a custom tune sans VTC.

Facebook has a group specifically for people wanting to do the conversion, you might have a good time there (if you're on it.) Look up z32 NA-TT in groups there, they have a ton of great resources.

Sorry I can't actually provide my own useful input, I haven't actually done the job and therefore can't speak to prices and such, but if you already have all the goodies, I think you're in a good place to start.
