I've always been a sucker for 'done up right' wagons and vans. I just can't get enough of them.

I stumbled upon this video on hellafunctional.com and I LOVE this advertising campaign.

So so funny.

This thing would look super good murdered out, but is actually quite appealing from factory IMO.

Here are a few photos to check out for fun:

I hope the new Quest looks like the photo that was leaked. I actually like it.

Oh, man. These adds irritate me so much I actually almost made a thread about it a couple weeks ago. They're HORRIBLE. Funny NOT found.

This one's definitely the least horrible, though, because glasses-dad is so busy singing he can't tell any bad jokes.

Swagger is a new marketing buzzword. I hate it.

Also, I'd bang the mom.

Really??? haha Oh well. I guess this one isn't as much as funny as it is original. What other automotive company makes an entire music video to advertise their VAN.

What about this wagon:

This is probably my favorite wagon ever. Driven by one Ben Kaplan in the DC area SCCA Solo 2 events.

Yes... Those are Domo's for fenders.

I like the new Sienna. The old one was super bland.

I dunno about "murdered out", but I can definitely picture it on airbags with some DAD wheels and K-Break aero.

As for Volvo wagons, I nominate:

Wheels are 15x10 -10 and they're STILL sunken in the back, 100% stock body. WTF!!

He's working on getting it lower and then I'm going to try to set up a shoot for it. He's down under.

I LOVE all of those volvos, especially the last one.

And by 'murdered out' I simply meant all black, bagged, tinted, and some sick wheels. And oh how I love K-Break kits.

I've never heard of DAD wheels. more info??

The old one wasn't just bland, it was downright ugly. The new one's a huge improvement, especially the nose. The rear is horrible, though. The clear tail lights and giant chrome moustache on the liftgate are eyebleeding. It looks too much like the also-eyebleeding Sequoia and Highlander from the rear.

Oh, and what the @#$% is with Toyota and gluing commercial-looking round reflectors on their rear bumpers? It looks ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE especially at night. Leave the reflectors in the tail light lenses where they belong. If I want $5 round pep boys reflectors on my bumper I'll superglue them on myself, thanks.

Image
Look, ugly cheapass reflectors in the bumper.

THE TAIL LIGHTS ALREADY FACE BACKWARD. THERE IS NO REASON TO USE SEPARATE REFLECTORS.

DAD is a subsidiary of Garson.

AFAIK, there is no JDM equivalent to the Sienna, it's purely a North American product. This means, regrettably, that there probably won't be much in the way of aero or suspension made for it by any of the mainline Japanese parts companies.

Volvo 240's are the new black. I hope more suspension alternatives start showing up.

<---seriously <3's wagons and vans.

I want an older van...half ton truck with a sliding door.

I have the power to pimp one out something fierce.

HUH? You were at Fed Ex? I was there running in the afternoon. I beat Ben that day, but not Mike (the 240 sedan driver). Both cars are ridiculously fast and have monster work done to them.

No sir, I was not there. They both showed up to the University of Maryland car show. I have pictures of those cars in the thread I made for the show.
