Yesterday morning we were coming home from the casino. One of the other casinos hosts a huge car show called the Delta River Cruise In. It was letting out yesterday about the same time we were leaving. We were surrounded by all kinds of cool rides. '68 Chargers, '67 Camaros, '62 Vettes, tons of street rods....

:woot:

It was very hard to keep my eyes on the road. There was one early 2nd Gen Camaro that was red with a deeper red Z28 stripe....DROOL!

Normally when old people starting drooling on themselves is a different issue. :)

Love seeing old muscle on the road!!!
Lots of history in camaros....
Best friend had a 74 that we used to cruise in all the time. Lots of great times!!! :naughty:
He also almost died in his other friend's 69...was very bad :frown: Thrown out at 100MPH after clipping a telephone pole in a curve.....
Also we passed a red with black stripes second gen. in the neighborhood (back in the day - late 70's) and heard it peel out.
We did a u turn to check out the smoke and black marks only to find out he lost it and the front end ate a utility pole!! :frown:
Pole did not break and was probably about where the water pump was.

Wow... :tisk:

That is the bad thing about those old cars. They didn't handle worth a crap. Probably largely because we raised up the backends and put tires on the car that wouldn't fit in the wheel well. And the brakes sucked too. They sure were fun though. I'd trade Rambo in a minute for a nice 70 1/2 - 73 Camaro.

BTW....I'm putting my Camaro in a big show this weekend. Wish me luck. I usually get 2nd or 3rd in that show but it is a tough one. Class is Camaro 73-02. There are usually about 20 cars in that class. It is hard to get a trophy in that show. It is supposed to cool off some by then too. We are still in the mid to high 90s! I'll try to post some pics and let y'all know how I do.
