If your not sure if it has one, then why do you need to remove it?

Well, here is another post that says that OBD1s have SVCs, and that by removing it, you can gain a few HPs.

You mean SCV, or Solenoid Control Valve. This is the sensor that gives the signal to an actuator behind the intake runners to open and close the butterflies. I don't know about the KA in an altima, but on the 240, it is located behind the head. If your going to remove the SCV, I think this requires you to take off you intake manifold to get rid of the actuator and the butterflies at the same time. I would only recommend this if you're going to remove all your emissions. Do a search for 'secondary butterfly valves' to get some more info.

I will find out if the Altima has it or not...I dont need emissions, this is for a asphalt short track Altima that I built last year, and I am trying to get the most out of it for the 2008 race season..
