Sup vert family...

I am having some suspention problems with my vert. its a clean 94 vert, runs great...and i love it...but it rides like total crap. Lets start off with the most obvious...or better yet, ill just list em

1. Steering wheel is off center at times. its ushualy cocked to the right, but after making a left turn it tends to straighten up a little or almost all the way. a buddy had a simalr problem and suggested getting new steering rack bushings...so I ordered a set. just waiting for em to arrive. Think that was the problem?

2. When I turn the wheel any direction after a certan point I hear a faint "Clunk"... sounds/looks like the tension rods are moving becaus sometimes they are also cocked to the side and have crappy bushings. So I bought tension rods...again, waiting on them to arrive this week

3. Front suspention bottoms out...probaly blown shocks. The ones on there are tokiko blues, no name drop springs and HKS camber plates that a buddy gave to me.

4. Car had a bad tire wear problem in the left front. that tire would always go bald on the inner edge becaus of the negitave camber, note this was on all stock suspention. I installed the tokiko blues all around and the front had camber plates. set the passenger to 0 degrees camber and the driver maxed out to positive camber and it still shows some negitave camber wear. what should i check?

5. Car overall rides sloppy compared to my buddys stock 1990 hatch. His feels alot stiffer, stable and tighter...mine just has a crappy ride...hard to explain, it dosent like corners, front wheels screech making a left turn in an intersection at about 20 MPH...just rides extremely ****ty...

I need to figure out these problems...I cant stand the sloppy handeling on this car...it hates turns...but i like turns ...so help me and my car agree...

I orderedWicked tension rodsenergy steering rack bushings

any other parts i need to make it ride better?

Thanks guys

replace everything thats worn and get an alignment.

i noticed my vert doesnt turn like a normal car either, i am guessing it has something to do with the fact that its 18 yrs ols and its a convertible. Chassis flex gets exagerated with worn parts. replace and align then tell us how it feels.

not sure if its applicable to 240's but check your upper and lower ball joints, that is usually a problem when you get tire wear after an alignment

bushings and tension rods arrived today, so i installed the tension rods, not enough time for the bushings, it was getting dark ouside and i dident have time. but it makes a world of diffrence in how the car rides, alot smoother, less sloppy and corners a tad better, still has some hop in the front end...also i noticed when i was installign my tension rods that the right (passenger) tension rod brace was only held on by 3 bolts. the 2 in the front. one on the sway bar and thats it, so i replaced the 2 missing...that could have been one of my problems...I never noticed that before...thank the vert gods that i did...I will install the rack bushings tomarow and see how it helps...hopefully it dose a good job!

Also noticed that the sway bar bushings in the front were totaly torn apart...no joke, i could move the sway bar up and down by hand

the old stock tension rods werent much better...the busings were torn up pretty damm bad!

Ill keep you posted guys!

Alignment will fix that.

You got the pillow ball aftermarket tension rods. Yes, they are amazing. Nismo power brace and Kazama tension rods are my favorite suspension upgrades. Car doesn't nose dive much and corners like dream, but you feel more vibration though.

the vibration makes it feel more like a sports car
