suspension upgrades

im thinking of setting my car up for drifting, but dont knwo anything about suspension upgrades. what are the various parts and what do they do?

But check out our sponsor spl parts. It should be on your right where all the ads are.

Start with upgrading your shocks/strut to coilovers. Some stiff coils can be bought for cheap like Megan, MK-1, etc etc or if you want really cheap theres NEX ebay coils... which people hate but i heard its stiff...

Then buy all the other susp upgrades from splparts. Start their list from top and work your way down.

well i ve seen threads on how to upgrade your suspension, but what i was wondering was, what does each part do? what is the advantage of a stiff suspension? what do coilovers do? what do sway bars do? etc, etc.
