My vert is needing some help in the suspension area.So before I go and drop a boatload of cash I thought I would ask my vert brothers to share their experience. What upgrades/repairs have you done to your cars suspension or bracing? How effective were those versus the cost?

I did TEIN S-techs and KYB GR-2's. Cheap upgrade, dropped it down nicely, and handles wonderfully.

I have Tein S-Techs and KYB AGXs. Well worth the money. I also have a front STB, which did help out in the stiffening up the chassis substantially.

Further upgrades will be SPL fender braces, a rollbar, and sway bars.

I have the AGXs also and love them. Combined that with the Suspension Techniques springs and swarbar set. Handles pretty good, although I might go back to the stock front swaybar to try that out...

Hey thanks for the replies.I'm going to check out the AGX's.I also found a racing machine shop that will make me a brace connecting the front shock towers and the firewall.

I've got the s-tec springs (about $100) and KYB gr-2's (about $180) like AZH. Only dropped it about 1 inch (didn't want any more drop anyway!)

It's pretty rough on bumps, but does handle well.

HUGE upgrade when I put on thicker anti-sways (about $180). (sus-tec also) Went from.... I think about 23mm to 32mm in front and 15mm to 25mm in back.

I'm not sure if I'd go with the AGX with the s-tech springs. I think maybe the springs are too stiff to take advantage of the adjustable shocks...

Maybe the order to do these things in if on very tight budget: 1. struts2. anti-sways3. springs(that's the order I now think I should have done it in )

If you think the AGXs aren't strong enough to handle a set of S Techs, then your GR-2s definitely aren't. I can personally say that the AGXs are fine with S Techs. And since they're adjustable, you can smooth the ride out by stiffening the damper. Stiffening the damper allows the spring to do its job better and keep the damper extended. A softer shock will allow the spring to compress too much, increasing harshness in the ride. While my ride isn't the smoothest out there, it was a lot worse when I had my shocks set to 1 and 2

I will have to say don't over look a good Koni setup. I have tried a lot of different and very expensive shocks on my race cars and have always ended up very happy with the performace of the Koni's
