alright guys, i have a couple questions,

I'm putting a gen 1 355 chevy small block v8 into my s13. I believe it will be adding around 100 lbs to the front of the car. small block - 575lbs T-10 transmission - 75 lbstotal - 650lbs

KA24 - 375lbsauto transmission - 175lbstotal- 550 lbs

i also plan on relocating the battery to the rear of the car ( moving about 30lbs rearward)

I DONT want to hear about how i shouldnt put this engine in the car, i'm doing it because i want to.

My question is, What kind of spring rate should i be looking for in a coilover, i think im going to go with megan (i'm not spending over 1,000 on coilovers). should i go with the street series (8kg up from 6kg in back) which are about 4 times higher than stock spring rates, or track series with incredibly high (12kg and 10kg). I'm going to use the car mainly on the street, but it will see the drag strip occasionally as well as limited track time. ride quality is not my Main concern, handling as well as i can have with that motor in there, is my main concern along with putting power to the ground in the rear

I really think the street series would be my best bet, and the tracks would be far too stiff, but i dont know for sure.

thanks for your help in advance, chris

I would suggest going with the street spring rates since that is the purpose of the car build right? You can always increase the spring rate itself rather than go all the way up to a higher spring rate such as the track version they would offer.

You can buy 9k, 8k 10k springs seperately then replace them yourself if you find the spring rates not to be to yoru liking.

If you are looking for coilovers at $1k, let me know, we can help you.Contact me via our website: http://www.endura-tech.com
