My dad told me that the J30 Suspension is from the factory and has never been replaced. I still have the same springs/shocks etc. Should they be changed?

You can be sure the rubber components are dried out .. And the struts and shocks aren't as good as new.Not a cheap fix .. 800 + for the deluxe kit from Joe.

Unles it is giving you problems, I would wait until something fails. If it's a 97 and you are in a fair climate you might be fine the way you are.
