Everywhere i have seen springs/shocks for sale, they always say Excluding Convertible... WTH did we ever do to them . What is the difference or is it just the springs rates are off due to differences in weight?

Your assumption is correct.

However, I (and several others) have used the TEIN S-Tech springs with no consequence.

They look great and really transform the handling.

A traingulated front strut tower brace really helps as well, they are available from CP Racing (sometimes on ebay) for around $90. Best $ you'll spend on a vert.

Oh i know. I bought a set of front and rears for my hatchback. I didnt feel a thing until i got around to bolting on the part that goes into the firewall and the bars that hit the floor board on the rear. After that... omg. I still have my rear that im going to put on when i pick up the vert next week. I want to lower it so that there is almost no gap between the tire and wheel well.

Well i just got my vert and looked in the trunk to see what i would need to mount my rear cp racing strut bar... i dont think that its going to happen. It looked like there are 2 brakets that hold the convertible top sitting right between the strut towers... that sucks.
