I have a 92 240sx hatchback. Running 17" wheels with 205/45/17 tires. My rear struts are totally wasted so i'm going to replace all 4 with KYB GR-2's. I'd like to lower it a bit to cut out some gap between the tire and wheel well. I don't care about racing performance, i would just like to have it look good. I'm thinking no more than 1.75in drop. Does anyone have suggestions for what kind of springs to get? I don't wanna break my bank account but i don't want junk. Any help would be appreciated.

if your going for looks you could sell it and get a dc2??? haha jp

honestly it depends on the width of the wheel

17s is of no use to us when we dont know how wide it is and the offset, because your deffinition of looking good and mine, are probably very different

and if you got a 17x7 or 17x8 you might as well have the se's on there cause im almost positive you dont have 17x8 - 25 or inch wide spacers yada mean

you could try some eibach. they are about 210+/- a few bucks. eibach is a good brand. you could also try tein, tanabe or megan if you wanna cheap out a lil bit.

I would also recommend upgrading the rest of the suspension so you can get an accurate allignment. i bought some yamato garage stuff. its a local shop to me but they have great prices and the product is very stout.

good luck

GR2's are designed for stock height. Even AGX's are only designed for a 1 inch drop. So, they will blow sooner or later and you'll be out that money, as well as performing AND looking like crap.Save up, get coilovers. Speaking from experience...
