A couple weeks ago I noticed my Altima had a squeak in the front whenever I'd take moderate to hard dips and bumps. It sounds like metal but I'm sure it's the struts. I've heard the same things in a couple different Volkswagen Jettas in the rear suspension. First was my mom's Jetta after she'd been sideswiped on the interstate and it was fixed (pretty sure it was the struts). The other is my bother's Jetta. His started making squeaks after he backed into his friend's car-also in the rear (although he hasn't gotten his looked at yet).
Anyway, my Altima has never been hit nor has it hit anything, but like I said, it sounds exactly like the problems in those VWs. Thankfully the car is still under warranty so I called the dealer today and I'm going to take it in tomorrow. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this problem and/or if anyone knows what it might be. It sounds like it would be where the strut connects to the car.
