*excuse the aliteration.

I have had my coilovers (silkroad) under my bed for 2 months now, and i was going to wait until spring to put them on. Now my front strut is bad and i mind as well put them on now in stead of buying a new stock strut.

I am going 2 inches lower than stock.

I need some RUCA's and i have been searching, everyone says "go SPL". I have never cheaped out on a part before, but i just don't see why they are worth twice the price. i have never heard anything bad about Megan RUCA's, and i have heard that the SPL ones rust (just like anything else).I was also looking at Cusco, but that is expensive.- Does anyone have experience with these suspension components? or know where i can get the best deal on any of them? ( i searched and read every post on this already)

As for the HICAS, the system seems to go on and off at times. The light will come on at start-up and then after about 15 mins the light will normally go off. But sometimes the light will stay on for hours of driving, and others it will go off and on intermitently. This leads me to belive that there is something wrong with it. Does anyone have any insight (based on experience)?

I was thinking about getting rid of it, and was looking at SPL's eliminator kits. There are 2 of them and i'm not completly sure what the difference is and why/ which are compatable with what toe arms.

So as you can see i need some direction here.Thanks.

I too am looking to eliminate the Hicas on my car. I recently emailed SPL in regards to the difference between the two models. They no longer are selling the Hicas bar. The bar simply replaces you Hicas steering rack and uses the stock tie rods. I'm thinking this is the option that I will go with. There are other manufacturers for these, ie Kazama and they can be found on ebay for $99. The other option that SPL has is the Pro eliminator. This also replaces the Hicas rack and the toe arms as well. You still get to maintain toe adjustment. I think this would be the best way to go, but it's expensive!

A couple of other places you might look at are 240SX motoring, Enjuku and PDM racing. They've got a wide selection of suspension components.
