I have a nissan pulsar with about 300hp I'll give the dyno sheet soon. The problem is i am searching for a good suspension setup and no one is able to give me some info.

So I was wondering if Ground control has some good coil-over setup or if I should stay with coil only like eibach.

And wish shock to use. KYB , GR2 ou AGX, or maybe some tokico ?

The car is running is the streer and go to the drag strip once in a while to test the tuning.

just a standard spring/shock combo is a good way to go if the car is usually street driven and you dont want or need to fork out money for coilovers. I've never really been a fan of the adjustable springs, so I'll say for the street, a progressive spring..like the Eibach pro kit or tein stech...with kyb shocks would be nice. It should stiffen up the car some and wont sacrifice to much ride quality.

As far as shocks go, I guess it depends on if you think you need the adjustability or not.

don't get progressive springs, they are teh lose!!11!!eleven!

I hate my prokits! I can either set my AGX's for ride comfort (not talking buick, but beamer - just damped enough, not horribly under damped floaty) or for handling (same, but only when the springs are compressed under cornering), I can't have both.

so I have it set for max cornering, which means over normal bumps in the road I keep harshly bouncing as I'm overdamped.. damn progressives!

my frend's linear rate mazdaspeed kit on his protege is nice and firm (my grandparents would think it rode bad) but rides nicely, doesn't overdamp, its just right ALL THE DAMN TIME.of course it cost him about twice what I paid for a groupbuy AGX+prokit setup

once I have spare cash ($700+) I'm getting the Nismo S-tunes, as they're meant for our cars specifically. Not adjustable but oh well. If I don't like that, then I'll say screw it, and go get some $2000 crazy coilover everything adjustable **** and call it a day.

also its worth it to note that if you get springs meant for a USDM car you'll likely end up with the front higher than the back after the engine swap (or right away if you already have it) - I had my AGX/Prokit setup since I got the car almost, and after the swap the front end raised..

I can understand why people dislike progressives, but more almost a strictly street car whose just looking to lower the car and improve the feel I dont see a problem wtih them. I've got nothing against linears either, but I'm using rs*r ti2000 springs which are progressive(didnt know it when I got them), but I've got nothing against them. They ride great and dont feel sloshy or sluggish.

maybe you just don't have anythign approaching stiffness, or maybe the rs*r's start off relatively stiff, but definately the prokits go from soft to way too hard. since I don't have those, I can't directly comment on them.

the end stiffness on prokits is way more than any normal linear street spring, it has to be to stop the car moving in the small travel it has left as it finally gets stiff.. the soft end is maybe slightly stiffer than stock, which isn't saying much.

so for me at least in order to have the car handle properly near the limits I have my AGX set for stiffness to match the springs at that point, but things like seams in the highway (let's not even talk about potholes - even crawling over those.. ugh!) are always blam-blam as the front then rear wheels cross because the shocks are waay too stiff for that amount of travel on the prokits.

I've ridden in more streetable complete coilover setups that performed across the whole range better

Ground controls are really nice, You can get almost any spring rates you want when ordering their sleaves dont rust up or get all clogged with dirt ect. It really depends on your budget for suspension, But if you have enough and Im not sure if they make them for your car or not but Ground control/ Koni Yellows are a nice setup.

I agree that that setup would be a good one, but for the price you'd pay for the koni yellows+ground controls could be more than enough to get a set of say of megan racing or tanabe coilovers.

I think rico05 has the S-Tunes actually, and likes them. They can be found online for around $700 last I saw, so if the GC+KY setup hits that price range might go for them, don't have to worry about which springs etc
