I'm wanting to drop my 95 S14 but i don't know what type of brand to get.Only thing i've seen are Ground Controls which i used for my previous car with 2.5 drop. I know about Teins but i'm kinda small on the $$$ bills. My budget is from 300-500 if its good enough. Should i go for springs or coilovers if i'm lowering my car also. Thanks again Nico

i heard the tein s springs are too soft and dont feel too good i always read good things about eibach though.

id suggest buying used from classified to save money then later on you can resell it for about the same amount of money give or take a little less, and then you can upgrade to coilovers if you ever wish to. ive had some friends blow tokico shocks in less than a year though lots of these parts are cheaply made so beware.

This is the list I have compiled over the past few weeks or so. The price listed here is from ebay price and the cheapest I could find. All brand new.

If you want to save more money buy used springs but new shocks.

Yeah, cause that ebay **** is awfully cheap too. He better be joking. Unless he has'em in his car.

Personally, I have the Tein Flex setup. The car looks great but I haven't gotten to drive it yet. I've heard some people complain about them not being stiff enough but I figure they'll be fine when coupled with almost everything SPL sells for the multi-link. Either that or their downfalls will be magnified.

I've heard a lot of good things about SPL's coilovers as far as bang for the buck goes. It's to bad they weren't out when I got my Teins otherwise I would have taken the SPL route.

Thats the suspension FAQ. You will find plenty of information about springs. If you scroll down theres a HUGE list of bunch of springs and their specs.

bypass the shock/spring setup and just get a nice entry level coilover. Save up a bit of cash and buy the Tanabe Sustec S-OC II or Mookeh MK1's. They are like $750-800.

Most sports springs dont even offer that much of a drop, its usually between 1-1.75. The only ones that offer over 2" is a dress spring, not a performance spring. I personally also think, anything over 2" is overkill, nevermind bottoming out. This is what I was going to go with for springs and shocks

RSR Race Springs and Koni Yellows,

But I figure, since I was going to spend close to $700 on this setup, I might as well save some more and get coilovers.

i think eibach SPORTLINE springs offer a pretty hefty drop.

when i get around to it, i'm planning on going with the tokico blues and eibach proline setup. i've heard nothing but good things about that setup. i have ridden as a passenger on some eibach springs before and they felt nice. i definitely noticed it wasn't a stock suspension.

by the way, for REAL cheap prices, try http://stores.ebay.com/Kuruma-Motoringi just ordered my black SAFC2 from them for about 240$!! brand new, in the box and it was here in like 3 days! they have alot of good stuff for sale, i highly recommend checking them out. i plan on ordering my suspension parts from them too...

I am selling some tein S-tech springs for $100. I don't know how much shipping would be but just let me know if you want them. They only lower 1.3 in the front and 0.9 in the rear.

I have ST springs with KYB AGX's. It gives me a 1.3 drop which is great for performance driving. If you are looking for show, then get some drop springs from anywhere. Expect your stock struts to go pretty quickly. The setup that I have works well for daily driving and mountains when I crank the dials up a bit. 70 bucks for used ST springs and 300 for new KYB's is what I put down for the setup.
