My car is about to tip 125k miles on the odo. and I am thinking about overhauling the suspension once the weather gets warmer. I want to do some upgrades on the way so I have some questions:

-Would there be a noticable difference in the car's handling dynamics if I installed J30T springs and shocks? If so, where can I buy new J30T springs/shocks?

-Are there any polyurethane bushings available that can replace the stock rubber in the suspension? I already have polyurethane tension rod bushings.

-Is there anyone that makes beefier swaybars for the J? Do other nissans share the same sway bars?

-How much of the J's suspension is adjustable at an alignment rack? If it is anything like a Z, than only the rear camber and toe can be fiddled with.

Thanks,Gonz

All suspension components for the J30 are Nissan OEM. There is no aftermarket or anyone who manufactures or sells additional components other than finding someone who'll custom manufacture those components. That could be pricey. Your best bet for suspension parts is your local Nissan/Infiniti dealer or one of our sponsors like everythinginfiniti.com (they sell OEM J30 parts at considerable savings over your local dealership).

I still never really read a clear conclusion to this thread.zerothread/239740I mean, correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the dude say that the suspension from a Z32 would mount and fit the same, but be shorter (thus lowering the J)?

Yeah, I agree with driverdriver. I have been looking for the suspension upgrades for my J. Bot no luck.

Actually, I have already purchased all suspension links/struts/shocks/bushings from Infiniti of Scottsdale. The total is about $2000. I will be posting on how I overhauled the suspension once I started working on the car.

Actually, if you want to get aftermarket upgrades. You maybe able to get it from Japan. Take a look a the following websites.

Hmm, this is pretty interesting. Too bad that thread wento off on a tangent...

I have access to 300ZX shock and spring assemblies for the front and rear. So I could try to mount them on and test them out and let you guys know if it can be done.

Twin Turbo Zs can weigh in up to 3500lbs so thier springs and shocks might be able to cope with the J's weight...

I will let you guys know once the weather warms up.

Yeah dude, that would be sweet. I mean, If we can just get some aftermarket Z32 stuff, then why not? It should be stiff enough to handle the weight, I don't think they're very different. I actually tried finding the original poster from that thread on MSN Messenger, but it said his e-mail address wasn't valid. If you have access, by all means, go for it. I wouldn't doubt stock Z stuff being an upgrade.
